Too Far
Emmett’s younger brother, Michael, was always βΆοΈ pranks on him. They were usually quite harmless, like the β±οΈ Michael put a rubber, squeaky π in Emmett’s π. Emmett was definitely π― the morning that π¨π» ππ» a π squeak come from his π as π¨π» slipped his foot in. At the same β±οΈ, π¨π» felt the soft, squishy object against his toe β immediately reacted by gasping β throwing the π, which thumped hard against the entry table. The π₯ vase on π teetered π β forth before tipping on its side β rolling off the table in a π crash. The vase shattered into pieces, some skittering all the way across the floor to where Michael sat π on the couch. Of course that got his mother’s attention. π©π» ran in from the kitchen, where π©π» was packing their lunches for the day. Of course Emmett got in trouble for throwing the π, β Michael sat there ππ» to Emmett get lectured about throwing things in the ποΈ with a smug π on hisπ. His π©π» π¬ π¨π» would learn his punishment when his mother β father had β±οΈ to discuss it after π«, but in the meantime, π©π» took π¨π» favorite snack, a Cosmic Brownie, out of π¨π» lunch box β π£οΈ him π¨π» wouldn’t be getting a snack today as π©π» dropped a baggie of π₯ in the brownie’s place.
Emmett was π« of Michael’s pranks β how Michael never got in trouble for anything. It was Michael’s fault that Emmett threw the π that broke the vase, but his parents wouldn’t ππ» to him β grounded him for a week. Emmett decided then β there that Michael would never prank him π. π¨π» would make sure of it.
Several years ago, Emmett π a orange-striped goldfish at the state fair in 1οΈβ£ of those π-toss games. The life expectancy of 1οΈβ£ of those goldfish isn’t typically that long, but Emmett took ππ» care of his fish. 1οΈβ£ Saturday morning, Emmett woke π π¨π»β¬
οΈ goldfish, which π¨π» had named Bubbles, floating on the π of the tank, lifeless. Emmett π¬ nothing to his parents or his brother, β instead of flushing Bubbles β¬οΈ the π½, π¨π» decided to use it to teach Michael a lesson β π the pranks π β for all.
Emmett’s parents both had work β β¬
οΈ Emmett in charge of βοΈ Michael. It was lunch β±οΈ β Emmett decided to make π₯ͺ. Both π¦π» like π₯ chips on their π₯ͺ, which was perfect for helping Emmett conceal the lump created by the goldfish in Michael’s π₯ͺ. Emmett took his β±οΈ spreading mayonnaise on both pieces of π for Michael’s π₯ͺ. π¨π» layered a piece of π§, several pieces of ham, a squirt of mustard, the goldfish, some more ham, β a βπ» of chips between 2οΈβ£ pieces of π. The π on Michael’s π when he bit into the goldfish was hilarious, but the π when Michael realized what was in his π₯ͺ made Emmett realize that π¨π» had taken this prank way too far. π¨π» felt terrible βοΈ Michael get π· for π minutes. Both Michael β Emmett learned a lesson that day, β Michael never pranked Emmett π.
